It’s not that the dunk is so crazy that it warrants its own post – because it’s not. It’s the fact that Paul Pierce is ripping this dunk. Seriously, when was the last time anyone saw him attack the rim like this?
A Celtics fan in the office assures me Paul has pulled off a few like dunks this during season that we haven’t seen him do in years, but I don’t necessarily believe him (not sure if you’ve noticed, but Celtics fans tend to fall on the irrational side). Maybe I’m just so programmed to only expect Pierce’s steady rain of fadeaways and dagger pullup jumpers that I don’t even notice the drives anymore. Either way, the fact that he still has it like this is pretty incredible.
