While there hasn’t been much to get excited about since the NBA Draft in the United States, the same can’t be said for hoops in Latvia. At the FIBA Under-19 World Championships on Sunday, Raptors first-round pick Jonas Valanciunas absolutely dominated, dropping 36 points to go along with eight rebounds, three blocks and three steals to lead Lithuania to gold. For the tournament, Big V averaged 23.0 points, 13.9 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game to go with 59 percent shooting from the field and 81.1 percent from the line. Thankfully someone put together a highlight mix set to the tune of J.Cole‘s “Return of Simba.” Enjoy!
What do you think? How good will he be?
