Since agreeing to a buyout with the Knicks in February, Metta World Peace hasn’t been signed by another team as a free agent. His brother has intimated he might have an interest in joining Detroit, but so far he’s still unsigned. While looking for the next team he can help, since his attempts at leadership with the Knicks went unappreciated, Peace found some time to dance with the Jabbawokeez with an assist from Cookie Monster.
While the artiste formerly known as Ron Artest doesn’t quite move like Shaq did when opening the 2009 All-Star game, his use of a Cookie Monster doll while wearing a cookie monster tee-shirt was about as baffling/intriguing as he is as a player sometimes. Whatever, just watch, we love Metta.
World Peace has already mentioned San Antonio and Chicago as possible destinations, but reports say they’re not interested. Maybe his ability to blend with the talented Jabbawockeez will help him land with another contender?
