Watch Gerald Green Dunk All Over The Lakers

The Phoenix Suns were pushed by the Lakers, specifically Kobe Bryant and his season-high 39 points — though it did take him 37 shots to get there. They needed every one of sub Gerald Green‘s own team-high 26 points for the 112-106 win at Staples Center. Green accrued his season high in high-flying style, too.

Green has sometimes been the odd man out in Phoenix early this season because they have so many guards. We’re pretty sure he’ll get dangled at the trade deadline in February for a team that needs shooting, but in the meantime Suns fans just sit back and enjoy his shooting and athleticism.

While Green can certainly light it beyond the arc — he was 2-for-4 from deep last night — he can also throw down some of the more insane dunks you’ll ever see. He did just that on three jams against the Lakers:

This alley-oop from Zeke:

Our favorite on the night, the curl around the pin-down into an explosive one-handed rim-rattler:

And Isaiah Thomas‘ third appearance on this list with a no-look drop-pass for Green on the break:

All told, Green was 11-for-19 from the field for his 26 points, and three of those eleven field goals reminded everyone he should probably get a Dunk Contest invite every year.
