LeBron James Corrects Initial Gaffe Of Criticizing McDonald’s By Insisting He Eats McMuffins ‘All Day’

You know how some celebrities steadfastly maintain they ‘believe’ in every product or company they endorse? LeBron James is among them – he swears! But The King’s casual slip of the tongue while discussing his early career diet sure makes it easy to think otherwise.

Asked when he developed a greater commitment to fitness, James subconsciously disparaged a fast food giant for which he serves as pitchman.

“Umm, 24. I ate McDonald’s my first couple years in the NBA,” he told the Northeast Ohio Media Group. “I didn’t stretch. It didn’t matter. I was 18 and I could do whatever I wanted to.”

When a reporter later asked the four-time MVP just how often he dines with the Golden Arches now, a savvy and extremely aware LeBron corrected his initial gaffe.

“Every day. Every day. Every day,” he said. “I had it this morning. Egg and sausage McMuffin. All day.”

Sure.

James won the genetic lottery. But not even an athlete with his surreal combination of size, speed, explosiveness, and muscle mass could get away with eating McDonald’s on a daily basis. We knew that already, of course, but it sure is fun to see LeBron white lie.
