The silliness of the KD 8 Kevin Durant was joking about yesterday morning reminded us Nike has unveiled the newest colorway of the KD 7. The “Weatherman” is a perfect ode to KD’s love of meterology and features one of the most eye-popping color schemes we’ve seen since his latest signature launched last summer.
The green upper was inspired by the newsroom green screens used by meterologists on television. Doppler radar-inspired graphics shroud the shoe’s Hyperposite heel, iconic Swoosh and outsole, with orange accents on the laces and strap.
Durant’s love of weather made its first appearance in the Nike Zoom KD 4 “Weatherman.”
Weather is the predominant inspiration of KD’s seventh signature released this past June.
The KD7 Weatherman Collection, including coordinating T-shirt, hat and socks, is available on March 5 at nike.com and select retail locations globally.
