That Paul Pierce hit a left block turnaround over Harrison Barnes is hardly surprising – The Truth will be making that shot at will for decades to come. His block of the Golden State Warriors high-flier on the other end, though, certainly left us close to shocked.
But there’s no substitute for all-out effort and the will to win, attributes that Pierce has displayed on a nightly basis since his NBA debut in 1998. He’s using both to great effect at the moment, guiding the Washington Wizards to a second half comeback against the league’s best team.
Washington and Golden State are trading the lead late in the third quarter as Pierce builds on his 14 points since halftime.
