Jimmy Butler Scrapes The Ceiling To Corral Wild Lob Pass And Dish Hockey Assist

Jimmy Butler is back in the lineup tonight after a three-week absence, and already making the kinds of plays that made him a first-time All-Star this season.

We’ve asked before, but now seems a good time to do so again: Has the Chicago Bulls wing always been this explosive? His head is basically at rim-level here after a two-footed jump, and he still has the strength to whip a kick-out to Nikola Mirotic from mid-air.

Crazy.

Butler has struggled with his offense otherwise, though. He’s shooting just 4-of-14 through the mid third quarter as Chicago holds a slim lead over the Charlotte Hornets. Pau Gasol leads all scorers with 17 points.
