Michael Beasley shouldn’t have lost a tip to Jerryd Bayless, and he shouldn’t have insisted on guarding the ballhandler after Loul Deng had already committed. The Miami Heat would have capably checked the Milwaukee Bucks, and Ersan Ilyasova would have been boxed-out instead of getting in the rebounding fray and allowing his team a chance at a loose ball.
Even so, Zaza Pachulia shouldn’t have beaten Goran Dragic to the rock, and the seven-footer’s pass shouldn’t have headed straight for Khris Middleton. And the Bucks’ stellar young swingman shouldn’t have hit a game-winning three-pointer as time expired with Dwyane Wade right in his face.
But Beasley did, Ilyasova wasn’t, Pachulia did, and Middleton did, too. So struggling Milwaukee escaped with a wild 89-88 victory, while Miami fell to 32-38 – just a game and-a-half up on the ninth-place Charlotte Hornets in the Eastern Conference.
