The San Antonio Spurs have been on a roll lately, winning seven of their last eight games — including tonight’s 123-97 blowout of the Minnesota Timberwolves — mainly due to the improved health of Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard.  So, of course, just as the Spurs were starting to get completely healthy, the basketball gods struck again, as Manu Ginobili was helped off the court with an apparent ankle injury.

The injury doesn’t appear to be too serious, according to Mike Monroe of the San Antonio Express-News

Ten days obviously isn’t great, especially with the Spurs facing the likes of the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks and the Oklahoma City Thunder, the latter of which could be a pivotal game for both teams. But it’s obviously better than losing him for the playoffs — when the Spurs will really need him the most.
