Reggie Jackson Has A Pretty Simple Reason For Wearing Hunting Gloves On The Sideline

After weeks of speculation, a thorough investigation into the events that led to Reggie Jackson bizarrely donning futuristic-looking hunting gloves on the sideline has finally come to a close, and the answer might just shock you:

“…I found out in OKC I had a problem with my hands getting extremely cold once I started running. I just start losing feelings in my extremities,” Jackson said. “With the help of the Oklahoma City training staff, especially Joe Sharpe, we found a way to get me hand warmers and figure out just how to keep my hands warm so I can keep a feel on the ball because throughout the game my hands would literally get to a point where they were freezing. So they monitor and continue to try to check the temperature and make sure everything is okay.”

Mystery solved. Except that these aren’t just any old gloves. According to Terry Foster of The Detroit News, the battery-operated gloves made by the Venture company come with adjustable heat settings, rechargeable batteries, wall charger, and are modestly priced at around $200 per pair.

Earlier this month, the Pistons.com message board posted this photo of Jackson and his fancy gloves.

As tempting as it is, we’re going to refrain from making any cringe-worthy “hot hand” puns.
