Andrew Wiggins Destroyed The Lakers With This Dunk, But The Timberwolves Still Lost

The Lakers – Timberwolves game last night was one of those meaningless contests that only happen in the April doldrums of the NBA season. Both teams sit comfortably at the bottom of the Western Conference standings with nothing but ping-pong balls to play for.

Except for Andrew Wiggins.

The Canadian wunderkind has a Rookie of the Year award to wrap up and this dunk on Ryan Kelly and Jordan Clarkson might be the icing on the cake for his campaign. Just don’t show any Cavs fans.

The rookie finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in the 106-98 loss to the Lakers. Oh yeah, that wasn’t his only dunk of the night either.

Despite the high-flying, his Timberwolves — who will finish with the worst record in the West and possibly the league, depending on what the Knicks do — lost game No. 63 last night. Brilliance in defeat has been the theme of Andrew’s rookie campaign.
