Chris Paul Really Left Blake Griffin Hanging On This DAP During Their Game 7 Win

Chris Paul was a man possessed on Saturday night, recovering from a first-quarter hamstring strain to pour in a team-high 27 points including the game-winner with one second remaining.

But he was so plugged in, he left Blake Griffin grasping at air on the hi-five above.

Paul isn’t the only point guard to leave his co-star hanging. Russell Westbrook did the same to Kevin Durant during the regular season, even after giving Jeremy Lamb a murderous look for doing the same earlier in the Thunder’s 2014-15 campaign.

We have a friend who is like DeMarcus Cousins when it comes to Paul; both hate Paul’s on-court demeanor that’s equal parts barking dog, commanding leader and sadistic perfectionist. Our friend* has a PhD in physics and lives in Amsterdam where he teaches, so his feelings about CP3 are really his only similarity to Boogie. Paul is well liked off the hardwood, but he’s a demon when he’s competing on the court and that can rub people from all walks of life the wrong way.

Personally, we love the Point God, but maybe he can take the time to slap up his teammate. It was all good between the two teammates, though, as their dual post-game presser — with BG’s little tyke — showed:

*He also just had a son this morning, so if you’re reading this homie, we love you.
