During a break in the action of the Rockets-Warriors Western Conference Finals game over the weekend, two lucky gentlemen were chosen to participate on the court in a giant game of tic-tac-toe to win a bag of goodies from the game’s sponsor, Toyota.
The rules were simple: Make a layup, then grab a large “X” or “O,” which was actually a Toyota symbol, and run it over to a tic-tac-toe board that was sitting at center court.
The two participants must have never heard of tic-tac-toe, however, and had no idea what it takes to win. Their confusion left the stadium’s crowd groaning, and the game’s hosts with the unenviable task of choosing a “winner” of the goodie bag.
Obviously, this game had no winners.
