LeBron James comes bearing gifts and good tidings to the NBA Finals. Before the Finals began, LeBron gathered his teammates at a lounge to have a pow-wow about staying the course during the postseason’s last series. Tristan Thompson shared LeBron’s message with the Northeast Ohio Media Group:
“He was like, we’re here for business and to be prepared,” center Tristan Thompson said to NEOMG. “All the media attention, all the hoopla stuff is cool and what not, but we’re here to take care of business.”
Not only did LeBron arrange the meeting, he brought enough gifts for the entire class.
But before they went their separate ways that night of the meeting, James had another surprise. He gave them all brand new Apple watches.
Apple watches aren’t the only thing LeBron has bought for his teammates. LeBron is constantly giving little gifts to his teammates just to show his appreciation for them and build a little camaraderie. JR Smith is especially enamored with the gifts and it might be the reason he’s back in a Cleveland uniform next season.
“I don’t know how he does it, but every day it’s something different,” Smith said with a laugh. “Watches, sneakers, Beats [headphones], hoodies, book-bags. Man, I can’t wait to come back next year. I want to see what we’re getting next year.”
LeBron is a giver both on and off the court. However, he’ll need his teammates to give him their best effort if The King is to secure his third ring.
