LeBron James Won’t Re-Recruit Kevin Love To The Cavaliers For Some Bizarre Reason

Kevin Love has opted out of his contract and will be a free agent come July 1. While Love has said he’ll stay in Cleveland, that doesn’t mean the LeBron James and the Cavaliers won’t re-recruit him right? Uh, wrong.

Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard didn’t get along at all during Dwight’s lone season in Los Angeles, but even Kobe showed up at Dwight’s free agent meeting to “try” to convince Dwight to stay. Reports of LeBron and Love’s relationship haven’t exactly been great (remember this?), but they at least appeared to get along better on the court. So why wouldn’t LeBron at least talk to Love? It doesn’t have to be anything formal – a phone call would probably do the trick.

There were enough reports of frustrations on both sides that some sort of meeting would actually probably benefit both players. Love may understand he can be a part of something special, but there may need to be some clarification as to what the part is. That’s where LeBron can help, and it’s vexing why he’d choose against doing so.
