Matthew Dellavedova Goes Low On Draymond Green After Taking A Hard Screen

You know about Matthew Dellavedova by now. Before the Cleveland Cavaliers’ guard made national headlines for helping limit Steph Curry to 5-of-23 shooting in Game 2, though, he was mostly famous for controversy.

This play doesn’t necessarily fall under the umbrella of suspect ones like those involving Dellavedova against the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks. However, all those who believe the Aussie does more than toe the line between reckless and dirty will surely point to his shoulder to Draymond Green’s lower half in the early portion of Game 3 as more evidence of that supposed reality.

What do we think? Like Green should be given benefit of the doubt for a needlessly hard screen, Dellavedova should for his reaction, too. This is the playoffs; physical play is inevitable. But that doesn’t mean it’s dirty.

Cleveland’s new hero, by the way, is playing even better on Tuesday night than he did in Game 2. Dellavedova has 15 points and has hounded Curry another rough shooting night, spurring the Cavs to a fourth quarter lead over the Warriors.
