Matthew Dellavedova Took The Saddest Uber Ride Ever After The Cavaliers’ Game 1 Loss

Game 1 of the NBA Finals was a tough one for the Cleveland Cavaliers to swallow. Not only did they fall in overtime 108-100 to the Warriors, but they also lost guard Kyrie Irving for the remainder of the series (and the next 3-4 months) with a fractured knee cap. That means far more playing time for Matthew Dellavedova – if he’s even on the court with the team, that is. According to CNN’s Rachel Nichols, Dellavedova missed last call for the team bus on Thursday night and had to take an Uber back to the hotel.

Whether the driver of the Uber vehicle was noted Cleveland fan Martin Rickman, we’re not sure. Martin’s a super nice guy. That’s something he’d do, even free of charge. Either way, the Cavs will probably make sure Dellavedova is on the bus to Game 2 since they need him now more than ever. Going home, though? That’s on him.
