Did Andre Iguodala Tease LeBron James For Faking An Injury In Game 4?

The Warriors’ Game 4 win over the Cavaliers came in large part due to Andre Iguodala’s stellar play. After LeBron dominated on a historic level for three games, Iggy outplayed The King in Game 4. During his 22-point performance, Iggy faked an injury after he was fouled. Some believe he’s mocking LeBron, but here’s his confusing comment about it after the game, per Pro Basketball Talk’s Dan Feldman:

“It’s more that goes into the game than people realize. Like not being able to sleep and then your normal routine. You can’t take naps. It’s like everything – every emotion, every thought, everything, physical, mental, psychological – everything is thrown into the game.
It’s just so – my brain is like fried. But it’s like we understand the commitment and sacrifice we have to make.

“So, it was just a perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy the moment.

As then soon as you get back to the line to shoot the free throws, you’re right back into just grinding, grinding, grinding, trying to get a win.”

What do you think?

Iguodala has mocked opposing players before. He got a technical foul earlier this season for making light of a Mike Conley travel.

LeBron suffered an actual injury to his head in this game, so I’m not sure this was the best time to sneer at the best player in the world for being dramatic about gashing his head. But we know Iggy’s teammate Andrew Bogut probably loved it.

With a crucial Game 5 on Sunday, LeBron isn’t the bear Iggy should be poking. But if any team can play with fire, it’s the Warriors. They are a 67-win group two wins away from a title with Iguodala acting as their ostensible best player so far in the first four games eries. This might not be the last time Iggy has a little fun at LeBron’s expense.
