How A Suns Fan Got Free Tickets After Alleging A Marketing Rep Hit On His Wife

Have you ever filed a ridiculous complaint at a restaurant and two weeks later you got something in the mail which said that your next meal is free? This Phoenix Suns fan did that, only instead of getting a free meal, he managed to score two tickets to the home game of his choice next season.

According to a TMZ, the fan’s wife received this email from a new Suns sales coordinator:

“My name is (redacted) and I wanted to reach out and introduce myself as your new contact with the Phoenix Suns. I don’t know if you live in the area, but I would love to grab lunch or dinner and just get to know you better and hear about what you do. I’ve been working with the Suns for about a year now and I’m always looking to network and get to know professionals in the valley.

“Would you be available to meet within the next two weeks?”

Sure it’s a bit informal, but this was probably an innocuous email from a guy who was trying to be friendly with a new client. Unfortunately, the husband of the woman who received this email didn’t agree, so he tweeted at the Suns and said “I think your sales reps are hitting on my wife.”

I don’t know about you, but I didn’t really interpret any romantic slant to the e-mail. However, as the old saying goes, the customer is always right, so the Suns agreed and decided to make a peace-offering: two tickets to any Suns home game the guy wants to attend.

Apparently the Suns didn’t discipline the employee, either, so they knew the claim was a bit bunk. The team told TMZ that he’s a new guy straight out of college and this is a “coaching moment” for an otherwise hard-working staffer. Kudos to the Suns for appeasing all parties in a tricky situation.
