All of that hard work he put in at NBA Summer League has paid off, just not with the team he was actually playing for in Las Vegas. Seth Curry led all players in scoring during the two-week tournament with 25 points per game as a member of the New Orleans Pelicans Summer League squad.

The Sacramento Kings apparently took notice, and according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, have signed him to a two-year deal worth $2 million, which includes a player option for the second year.

“Curry, the young brother of Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, the NBA’s Most Valuable Player, has shuttled between the NBA Development League and 10-day contracts in Cleveland, Memphis and Phoenix over the past two seasons.

Curry’s ability to shoot made him an increasingly attractive bench scoring option for several teams, including New Orleans and Charlotte, league sources said.”

The Currys are a tight-knit group, and brother Steph was one of the first to congratulate him on a major milestone in his once fledgling NBA career.

Steph and Seth join a growing list of NBA siblings, which already includes Brook and Robin Lopez, Mason and Miles Plumlee, Marcus and Markieff Morris, the Harrison Twins, and Pau and Marc Gasol, among others. It’ll be great to watch yet another sibling rivalry play itself out on the court.
