LeBron James Gushes About Excitement To Play With Kyrie Irving And Kevin Love On Instagram

The Cleveland Cavaliers are the reigning Eastern Conference Champions. They once led the NBA Finals 2-1, swept the 60-win Atlanta Hawks one round prior, and went a sterling 34-10 once LeBron James returned from his midseason absence to rest nagging back and knee injuries.

For any franchise but Cleveland, those accomplishments would be enough for 2014-2015 to be considered a rousing success. But expectations for James-led squads are always different from most any other, especially those that bear the distinction of a super-team.

Kevin Love played just three playoff games last spring before dislocating his shoulder. Kyrie Irving was awesome in Game 1 of the NBA Finals before succumbing to a creaky left knee for good. And amazingly, the Cavaliers somehow made the Eastern Conference playoffs a mockery and the Finals extremely competitive. Just imagine, then, what they could do if the Big Three are simultaneously healthy come next postseason.

James, for one, already is.

It makes sense that he’s excited about the prospect of finally taking the court with Irving and Love again. The esteemed trio appeared together in just 60 regular season games last season, during which Cleveland compiled a 46-14 record – the pace of a 63-win team. Will the Cavaliers get there in 2015-2016?

Health permitting, we can’t see why not. And like James, we can’t wait to watch them try.
