Watch Bradley Beal Soar By Kristaps Porzingis For The Huge Dunk

Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis has understandably bristled at the inevitable Shawn Bradley comparisons (some of which were made by the very executive who chose him in the draft), but if he’s ever going to live that down, he’ll eventually have to stop letting things like this happen.

During the Knicks’ preseason matchup against the Washington Wizards Friday, Bradley Beal took an outlet pass coast-to-coast before exploding to the rim for this monster jam over the 7’1 Porzingis.

Beal finished with 12 points on the night but shot just 4-of-15 from the field and 1-for-5 from downtown as his Wizards fell to the Knicks 115-104.

Despite getting dunked on, the Zinger had a solid all-around performance and showed flashes of what made him such an intriguing prospect, including this smooth little stop-and-pop jumper off the dribble.

He nearly posted a double-double with 9 points and 10 rebounds, to go along with two blocks (a continuation of his recent solid efforts on the defensive end) and three assists. He shot an efficient 4-of-9 from the floor (including 1-of-2 from behind the arc), and New York was a plus-15 when he was on the court versus when he sat.

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with a game-high 21 points, and his team improved to 2-0 for the preseason. The Knicks’ next action comes Monday when they host the Philadelphia 76ers.
