Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul fractured his left index finger during practice in Shenzhen, China over the weekend prior to their preseason exhibition matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. However, according to Rowan Kavner of NBA.com, Clippers fans don’t have anything to worry about:

The injury is not considered to be serious and Paul will be re-evaluated prior to the Clippers game against the Hornets Wednesday in Shanghai.

The injury in practice is the second to a Clippers guard in China. Austin Rivers is also dealing with a mouth injury he suffered Friday and will likely miss both preseason games in China.

And Kavner isn’t the only saying that Paul’s injury is less-than-serious. Dan Woike of the Orange County Register is also reporting that Paul could return to the court a lot sooner than you think.

Without Paul and Rivers, the Clippers lost 106-94 to the Hornets Sunday. Pablo Prigioni started in place of Paul, but it was Blake Griffin who assumed most of the point guard duties as he dished out 10 assists to go along with his 13 points.

Jeremy Lin, who is of Chinese descent, was of course the hero of the game as he led his team with 16 points. The Clippers will get a rematch against the Hornets on Wednesday in Shanghai.
