LeBron James Always Has Time To Take A Quick Selfie With His Young Fans

LeBron James has had a rather unconventional, but ultimately redemptive, career arc. He’s gone from the beloved native son of Northeast Ohio, to the pariah of NBA fans everywhere, to the leader of the Hollywood-as-hell Big 3 Heatles, and now full-circle again to hometown hero and man of the people. The black hat never suited him, anyway. He’s much more comfortable joking around with his teammates and interacting with the fans, and those two pastimes were on full display Wednesday night during the Cavs’ preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks.

At one point during a brief lull in the action, LeBron took the opportunity to take a quick selfie with a bunch of young fans seated near the scorer’s table. Not only that, according to recent post on his Instagram account, he also invited a young fan named Taylor to come and sit on the sideline with him. The best part is that she apparently took J.R. Smith’s seat. Maybe that’s why he got mad and doled out that Flagrant 1 foul on Al Horford.

In the midst of all his extracurricular activities, LeBron still managed to put up 8 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals in 22 minutes of action, but the Cavs would end up losing to the Hawks 98-96.
