Paul George Is Still Dunking All Over Your Hopes And Dreams

See that? That’s Paul George showing once again that he’s completely recovered from a gruesome leg injury that knocked him out for pretty much the entire 2014-15 season. George has been making strides during the exhibition play, a big leap considering where he was just a few months ago. Last week, he showed off a sweet reverse jam against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Now he’s straight up being savage against the Chicago Bulls.

Upon his return to playing, George made it clear that he’s not satisfied with just coming back to the league. Rather, his goal is to return better than ever and to play at a MVP level. It’s good George has those types of ambitions, but first thing’s first, and that’s getting to a point where he’s as dominant as he was before sustaining his injury. In 2013-14, George was averaging 21.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.

About the only thing left to talk about now is where George fits into the Pacers’ scheme. He’s expressed his distaste for starting at the power forward spot, and who could blame him after being matched up against guys like Anthony Davis in the preseason. The matter of him being a 3 or 4 going forward isn’t over, but any concerns about his leg certainly are. George is a force of a player and his recent performances in this early NBA season have proved as much.
