‘Jeopardy’ Honored The Defending NBA MVP With A ‘Steph Curry Dishes’ Category

Monday night on Jeopardy, “Curry Dishes” was a featured category in the opening round. With answers such as: “Far from India, Marrakesh in this country has its own version of a vegetable curry,” it was a category that I would have made exactly $0 on if I happened to be a contestant on the show.

Thankfully, for the more sports-inclined game-show viewers, the producers (with maybe some assistance from high-school point guard and noted Lakers fan Alex Trebek) decided to expand “Curry Dishes” to the category of “Steph Curry Dishes” in the Double Jeopardy Round, with every answer having something to do with the reigning NBA MVP.

The questions are pretty easy if you’re a sports fan (although if you’re not big on college basketball the $2,000 clue might stump you), but as routine watchers of Jeopardy know, sports categories aren’t always the easiest for the contestants on the show who are usually more well-versed on greek mythology and Shakespeare (which was also a Double Jeopardy category to even things out). This time, however, contestants Sean and Tom were able to clear the category, trading correct responses on the five clues.

If you’re so inclined you can quiz yourself on the answers from the show here.
