Kristaps Porzingis Finishes The Knicks’ Perfect Fast Break With A Powerful Alley-Oop

Here’s a general rule that applies to every sport: The ball moves faster than anything else on the playing field. And all too often in basketball, players move the rock up the floor and side to side by needlessly dribbling it as opposed to making simple passes.

That’s not what the New York Knicks did here.

Kristaps Porzingis, of course, will get the lion’s share of credit on this play. He’s becoming a legend in New York. But Carmelo Anthony deserves plaudits for immediately pitching the ball ahead as the Miami Heat lagged behind, and Langston Galloway certainly does for throwing a pin-point lob pass to the 7’3 Latvian immediately after he catches, too.

This, kids, is what a fast break should like.
