Marcelo Huertas Twice Missed A Buzzer-Beater In The Most Embarrassing Way Imaginable

What on God’s green earth was this, Marcelo Huertas? Yes, yes, the shot clock is about to go off against the Miami Heat and, well, you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t make, right? In this instance, though, you’re going to miss 100 percent of whatever this was.

Look, Huertas is no Steph Curry, who can jog back down the court to play defense before the ball has gone through the net. And at least Swaggy P was thoroughly convinced he’d made a shot before it inevitably bounced off the rim.

But I’m not sure what’s going on here with Huertas. First, there’s the original blocked shot by a guy, Tyler Johnson, who’s not exactly a mountain at 6’4 (Huertas is 6’3).

Then, there’s the desperate recovery followed by the no-look attempt. Just a regular Bon Jovi out here Living on a Prayer. From start to finish, this might be one of the more hilarious shots of the early 2015-16 NBA season,

What we’re trying to say is, we can’t wait for the NBA Impersonator to get his hands on this ridiculous attempt and release a video titled “Marcelo Huertas be like.” Because that would be amazing and timely. Christmas is just around the corner after all.
