On Tuesday night, Steph Curry was a little careless. He turned the ball over against the visiting Toronto Raptors seven times, the most he’s done in a game this season. If he’s still got the same bet with his mom from last season, then Sonja Curry is going shopping.
Despite the season-high sloppiness, Steph still dropped 37 ho-hum points (13/23 5/10 3pt) in a 115-110 Warriors victory that extended their opening season winning streak to 12 straight. Remember when everyone was tripping over themselves to pick another team out West because the Warriors had used a fortuitous path and injury-free kismet to run through the Conference last spring? Boy were we wrong.
But we digress. The Warriors were also rocking their throwback “The City” uniforms Tuesday night, which everyone who cares about the aesthetic value of uniforms agrees are pretty snazzy. Our haughty attitude aside, we’d love to own “The City” warmup jersey.

So, Steph decided to add his own twist to the throwback theme and came out for his usual pre-game warmups in short shorts. As we know, after Curry finishes his simultaneous two-handed dribbling routine, he starts launching jumpers from all over the court and finishes with deep, deep 30-footers, with one going to his right, one going to his left, and then one more straight on. As you can see, Steph effortlessly ripped nylon in short shorts, too.
The same can also be said for the tunnel shot he’s turned into a bit of an event before every Warriors home game. It went down just as smoothly as when he’s not rocking crotch-huggers.
Whether it’s throwback uniforms, or throwback short shorts, it really doesn’t matter to Steph; his wet jumper doesn’t discriminate.
