Nike unveiled Kobe Bryant’s latest signature shoe to the delight of Los Angeles Lakers fans and shoe-heads across the globe. Just imagine Mamba Nation’s excitement, then, about this awesome promotion from the future Hall of Famer as his storied career finally comes to a close.
Near the end of a Periscope event that launched the Kobe 11, host Kevin Frazier revealed that Bryant will place 20 pairs of signed sneakers around the world – and his fans will have a chance to find them.
“On 12/22, Kobe is going to hide 20 pairs of these 11s around the world in special places – and he’s signed them,” Frazier said.
How can you get your hands on a pair of autographed Kobe 11s?
“There will be hints. There will be questions that pose clues,” Bryant explained. “Some of the questions will be standard stuff; growing up questions and things like that. Other ones will be centered around innovation, so it’s important for them to really understand the product as well. But yeah, we’ll hide them, and hopefully people will join in the scavenger hunt.”
It’s time brush up on your Mamba knowledge, folks. There’s only so much time left for you to come away with memorabilia collected during Bryant’s playing days. And who knows? The Kobe 11 might be his last signature shoe, too.
