This Paul George Crossover Is Simply Too Slippery For DeAndre Jordan’s Admirable Defense

The Paul George experience has been a sight to behold this season. His unfortunate leg injury in 2014 is a distant memory now that George is the fourth leading scorer in the league. His resurgence has been the driving factor behind the Pacers’ surprising 12-5 opening month of hoops. If not for Steph Curry’s stratospheric start, PG would be a prime contender for MVP. He’s shooting seven 3-pointers a game at a blistering 46 percent, and dancing around defenders with ease.

George continued his brilliant play against the Clippers Wednesday night with a 31-point performance in a 103-91 win. Without Chris Paul, the Clippers stayed even with the Pacers for three quarters, but George proved to be too much in the fourth quarter as the Pacers cruised to the win.

PG scored eight points in the fourth with some pretty eclectic scoring. He hit a couple contested threes that were, dare we say, Steph-esque. However, nothing trumped his crossover against DeAndre Jordan late in the second quarter. Jordan got cross-matched with George in transition and actually played pretty solid defense. Unfortunately, pretty solid isn’t enough to stop PG this season, especially when he unleashes a crossover like that.

When George has his jumper dropping, which is most nights nowadays, he’s impossible to stop.
