Steph Curry Breaks The Raptors’ Spirits With This Insane Pull-Up Three

This three pointer from Stephen Curry didn’t win the game for the Golden State Warriors. It tied the game, sure, but the Raptors regained the lead a few more times, and the Warriors eventually won the game on free throws. But this shot was the one that essentially demoralized the Raptors. They’d been battling all game, led by a virtuoso performance from Kyle Lowry. They were giving the Warriors everything they had, and, for a while there, it looked like that might actually be enough to finally topple the Warriors.

Then Curry, himself magnificent with 44 points on the night, grabs a rebound, races up the court, jams on the breaks right at the free throw line, pulls up and nails this three. The degree of difficulty of this shot is off the charts, but for Curry it just looks so easy. Think of how it must feel to be the Raptors in that situation, after you’ve clawed and scratched and bitten your way to a lead, only to have Curry calmly tie the game on a shot almost no one else would even dare attempt. Demoralizing probably doesn’t even begin to describe it.
