A New Adrian Wojnarowski NBA Site Called ‘The Vertical’ Is Coming To Yahoo Sports

Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski is well-regarded as the industry leader when it comes to breaking NBA news. So, who better to break the news of a new NBA-centric site on Yahoo! than the man who will be running it?

On Wednesday morning, Wojnarowski took to Twitter for his latest Woj Bomb to announce the launch of a new site as part of the Yahoo Sports, “The Vertical with Woj.” Set to release in the early part of 2016, the site will not only feature a staff of both established and up-and-coming NBA writers, but also industry insiders, as well.

The site will feature Michael Lee, one of the elite writers and reporters on the NBA, Shams Charania, the 21-year old wunderkind insider and writer, front office insider Bobby Marks, a 20-year NBA front office executive, Jonathan Givony and Mike Schmitz of Draft Express, the industry leaders in global information and content revolving around the NBA Draft, Nick DePaula of NiceKicks.com, the pre-eminent journalist on the basketball shoe industry, Tim Grover, longtime trainer of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant who will provide content centered around the players’ mind and body, and former NBA player Brian Scalabrine who will provide video content.

Following the announcement, Woj also published the first of what is expected to be a weekly podcast. In the inaugural release, he was joined by NBA commissioner Adam Silver, where they discussed the Rajon Rondo situation.

Woj is expected to release a new podcast every Wednesday.
