This New NBA Primetime Spot Will Make You Want Andre Iguodala’s Magic Touch

You know when someone shakes the hand of a person they admire, they often joke, “I’m never washing this hand again?” Well, the NBA based an entire TV spot around that concept, and surprisingly, the result is pretty sweet. Andre Iguodala is the player with the magic touch here, which he confers on one lucky kid who then makes his parents’ (and band teacher’s) life a living hell by refusing to use that hand for anything.

And yet, even though their last Warriors game was the reason for their misery, these parents decide to reward their kid with another Dubs game. What if he loses the use of both his hands, huh, parents? Bet you’d feel pretty dumb then. But of course, as fate would have it, the kid is seated next to a cute girl who appears to have been inflicting the same sort of chaos on her own family. And wouldn’t you know it, there goes Iggy on a fast break, the man with the magic touch himself throwing down a dunk on Joakim Noah. The two magic hands touch. Further magic ensues.

So, by the rules of Iggy Magic, are those two hands now inseparable? Are these families going to have to move in together? The NBA Saturday Primetime games, for which the spot is being aired, start on January 23.
