Andrew Bogut is a goon. Even he would likely cop to that reality. But there’s a difference between subtle pushes, shoves, and grabs and what the Golden State Warriors center did to Russell Westbrook while going for a rebound in the first quarter of Game 1.
Did Bogut have a real chance to snare this board? It’s debatable at best. What isn’t is that he wouldn’t mind sending a message to Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the early going of the Western Conference Finals.
For what it’s worth, Westbrook didn’t seem to take offense to the play and officials awarded Bogut a flagrant 1 after video review.
