Andrew Bogut Slips The Screen For A Towering Alley-Oop From Stephen Curry

Dwight Howard isn’t himself. The Houston Rockets’ center was questionable for Game 2 since the end of Tuesday’s contest, and only made the decision to play some 35 minutes before warmups.

But that doesn’t account for this soaring lob from Andrew Bogut. The Golden State Warriors have been fooling defenses with this play all season long.

A staple of the blue-and-gold’s offense are simple pin-downs for Klay Thompson. Leveraging defenses’ fear of of leaving one of basketball’s preeminent sharpshooters, Golden State has Bogut run to the basket for a quick lob if he senses his defender cheating over the top of the pick everyone thinks is coming. As long as Steph Curry’s pass is on point, a successful result is imminent.

Smash.

Spurred by an active performance from Bogut, the Warriors lead the Rockets 24-20 late in the first quarter.
