Watch This Emphatic Andrew Wiggins Flush After A Pretty Give-And-Go With Karl-Anthony Towns

The Minnesota Timberwolves were supposed to be awful this year. Yet, here they sit at a surprising 3-2, giving the 7-1 Atlanta Hawks all they can handle. What’s the reason behind their success? Well, it helps if you have Andrew Wiggins, who can jump from seemingly anywhere and throw it down with some serious power.

While they’ve only had five regular season games together, it looks like Wiggins and rookie Karl-Anthony Towns have developed a nice chemistry. That’s going to be bad news for the rest of the league for years to come.

Right now, though, the ‘Wolves are facing their own bit of bad news. Early on, it appeared as if the ‘Wolves would blow the Hawks out of the sky, going up by more than 30 points in the first half. Then the second half started, and the Hawks, who scored only 42 points in the first half, scored 42 points in the third quarter. These are the growing pains of a young team. They have all the firepower necessary to jump out to a big league, but they don’t quite yet have the know-how to sustain that lead throughout. The veteran-laden Hawks, meanwhile, have been through just about every situation a team can encounter in the NBA.

No matter what happens, it will be a valuable lesson for this young team, especially for Wiggins as he grows into the leader of this squad.
