The Antetokounmpo Brothers Lit Up This Greek Streetball Game With Kristaps Porzingis In Sunglasses

Kristaps Porzingis of the New York Knicks and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks took part in a streetball game in Athens, Greece, over the weekend. Porzingis, who is Latvian, showed and rocked sunglasses as the teammate of Thanasis Antetokounmpo, who plays in the D-League for the Westchester Knicks, and is the brother of Giannis.

If you’re dying to know which team won, it ended in a 123-123 tie. Porzingis scored 21 points while Giannis poured in 64. Thanasis had a very nice day on the court with 69 points.

He also won the impromptu dunk contest with this one:

But the most important part of this event — Kristaps in sunglasses!

The “Antetokounbros Streetball Event” was played in an open court in Greece’s largest public high school. It was part of an event designed to help the charity “Ark of the World,” according to Eurohoops.net, an initiative in Greece that helps needy children.

There also appeared to be a Running Man Challenge during the game, although it seems that Kristaps did not really participate. (He actually did, but the smooth wiggle of his hips escaped the untrained eye of Dave – Ed.)

“It was a wonderful experience.” Porzingis said. “I thank Giannis and Thanasis for inviting me to the event. Greek basketball fans are among the very best in the world.”

He probably thinks Latvian fans or Knicks fans or Latvian Knicks fans are the best in the world, but hey, at least Kristaps was able to play it cool — as cool as a guy playing basketball in sunglasses.
