We heard rumblings about a deal involving Renaldo Balkman this morning, and now the Knicks have made it official – they’re sending Balkman to the Nuggets for Taurean Green, Bobby Jones and a 2010 2nd rounder.
Word out of New York earlier today was that the Knicks will cut both Green and Jones in order to get about $2 million in cap relief, and because they don’t have room on their roster. With Green and Jones, the Knicks are at 17 players. They need to get down to 15.
Without Marcus Camby, Denver needs to fortify their front lines. Instead of having the Birdman as the only big man to give Nene or Kenyon Martin a breather, Balkman is a much-needed insurance policy. But does he solve their problems?
Who do you think got the better end of this deal? Knicks or Nuggets
