Carmelo Anthony’s Son Showed His Own Hoops Skills With A Last-Second Shot In An AAU Game

Carmelo Anthony‘s son Kiyan has already shown his fathers’ flair for the dramatic. La La’s boy hit a buzzer-beater at the AAU Nationals on Sunday that gave his team the win.

Kiyan got the last shot for the New York Gauchos, an AAU program based out of New York City. It was enough to beat Team Durant at the U11 AAU Nationals on Sunday afternoon.

The footage doesn’t actually show the ball go in the hoop, but you can tell from the crowd’s explosion that it was true. No word on whether Carmelo himself was there to watch it, but it would be a nice distraction from the trade talks that continue to swirl around him this offseason. The latest word is he would waive his kicker to get a deal done, but no one knows for sure where that new team will be.

We already know La La hopes he stays close to New York, and Anthony wants to go to Cleveland or Houston. If Kyrie Irving ends up in New York that could be Anthony’s way out and a way to keep he and his family happy. But as the summer days pass, it seems a deal might not give everyone what they want.
