Cavaliers Owner Dan Gilbert Expertly Trolls The Warriors On Twitter

The old cliché about the refs “letting them play” was taken to astonishing new heights in Game 2 of the NBA Finals Sunday when there were several egregious no-calls that, upon review, were clearly fouls committed against LeBron James. But LeBron is the consummate professional, and though he did some on-court yapping, he’s mostly let it go (eeking out a win certainly didn’t hurt).

Cavaliers’ owner Dan Gilbert, on the other hand, has been known to hold a grudge, and isn’t above lashing out against his enemies on the social media sphere. He did just that today when he Tweeted the above photo of Andre Iguodala and Draymond Green yanking on LeBron’s jersey, along with an offer for a 20 percent discount on the King’s jerseys in the Cavaliers’ team shop since the Warriors’ defensive stalwarts are apparently so eager to steal his right off his back.

Big props to Gilbert for this one. It was a clever and good-natured dig, although we’re pretty sure it would’ve been a little bit saltier had the outcome been different. Game 3 tips off tonight at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
