Despite a general lack of range on his outside shot, DeMar DeRozan has transformed himself into one of the league’s most potent scorers. But he’s also still one of the NBA’s most explosive athletes. Sophomore big man Jahlil Okafor learned that lesson the hard way on Wednesday night.
With less than a minute to go before halftime of the Raptors-Sixers game in Philly, DeRozan led the fast-break and drove straight through the lane before rising up for a nasty facial jam on Okafor. DeRozan currently leads all scorers with 25 points, to go along with four rebounds and two assists.
