DeMarcus Cousins has long been an NBA superstar, and now he’s an Olympian with Team USA. His next role puts him on a much different trajectory, though.
Boogie is set to become a Batman villain. He will take up Jim Carrey’s mantle and become the new Riddler. Just look at how he’s getting ready for the neuron-jumbling slot in his press appearances on the eve of the games in Rio:

After Cousins slays foreign centers in Brazil, he will shower and put on the green felt costume and travel in time to challenge Socrates to a game of chess, which he will win.
None of this is of course true — except for the quote reported by Andrew Keh of the New York Times, which is definitely true — but it is great that a larger audience is getting to enjoy to Boogie experience now that he’s part of the American basketball juggernaut that wakes every four years to dunk all over the world.
Cousins is a mega talent, but also a fascinating fellow, full of tricks and wonder and surprises. One of the more interesting guys in the league exists off the radar with the terrible Sacramento Kings, and it should make everyone happy that he gets to enjoy a moment in the gold medal sun.
