Oh, NBA mascots. You never cease to entertain us. Or faceplant on roller blades. Or both.
During Thursday night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies, the Denver Nuggets’ mascot, Rocky, decided it’d be a good idea to silly string a Grizzlies “fan.” The word “fan” is important here, as there’s somewhere between a zero percent and a zero-zero percent chance that guy’s not planted. But that’s beside the point, which is that a bunch of fans got to silly string somebody else for the delightful entertainment of thousands. And they did not skimp. That guy is covered.
The NBA can be pretty great like that. Come for the basketball game, stay for the person wearing a coat of silly string.
