Dewayne Dedmon Continued The Series Trend Of Questionable Plays With This Shot On Steph Curry

The Warriors-Spurs series has certainly seen its share of borderline dirty plays. It all started in Game 1 when Zaza Pachulia closed out a little too zealously on a Kawhi Leondard three-point attempt, causing the latter to injure his ankle and miss the next two games – not to mention altering the entire trajectory of the series.

In the following game, LaMarcus Aldridge appeared to do the same thing to Kevin Durant. Fortunately, KD managed to avoid harm and so the story died out quickly, but it certainly could be construed as an attempt at payback. Now, the Spurs are responsible for yet another questionable play.

Late in the fourth quarter of Game 3 with the Warriors leading by 17, it sure looked as if Dewayne Dedmon intentionally knocked knees with Steph Curry as he went to set a screen for Dejounte Murray. Curry, like Durant, would luckily be okay.

In each of these cases, it’s nearly impossible to prove one way or the other whether there was malicious intent, but it’s certainly curious that it would happen to the Warriors’ two best players in the aftermath of the Kawhi injury. It’s something that the league offices might want to re-evaluate once the offseason rolls around.
