Draymond Green Turned In One Of The Greatest Flops Of His Career During Game 4

Much like the rest of the Western Conference Finals, the first half of Game 4 went very well for the Golden State Warriors against the San Antonio Spurs. The Kawhi Leonard-less underdogs were unable to generate stops on the way to a 65-51 halftime margin and, much to the dismay of San Antonio, it was one of the best playoff halves of Stephen Curry‘s career.

However, the first half might just be remembered for a hilarious and utterly tremendous flop from Draymond Green.

To be at least somewhat fair to Green, Jonathan Simmons quite clearly committed a foul and the ESPN broadcast noted it as such. Still, the acting chops of the potential Defensive Player of the Year go without saying and Green sold this one in a big way to the point where he flailed dramatically to induce a whistle. Green is one of the best in the league at tricking referees into blowing their whistles, and this is one of the more shameless flops of his career.

Perhaps the best part about the drama was that seemingly everyone knew what Green had done before the whistle even blew and, to be honest, he probably did not even need to execute the flop like this. Still, there is always value in presenting a situation where the official absolutely is forced to blow his whistle and Draymond Green did exactly that.
