Draymond Green Says He’s Going To ‘Go At’ LeBron James Next Season

To say things got a little tense between LeBron James and Draymond Green during last month’s NBA Finals would be an understatement. It would be more accurate to say that Green’s suspension for targeting LeBron’s family jewels during a fracas quite possibly swayed the championship in the Cavs’ favor. Nevertheless, Green was the first person to go and congratulate LeBron after the Warriors’ heartbreaking loss in Game 7.

Which is why the Warriors’ do-it-all forward thinks we’re making a little too much out of it, as he said in a recent interview with Draft Kings. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t going to bring that same intensity next time they face each other.

“When I step on the court next year, I’m gonna go at him,” he sad. “When he step on the court next year, he’s gonna go at me. That’s the game we play.”

Green goes on to insist that he and LeBron are both friends and business partners away from the game and that their rivalry is nothing more than a little healthy competition between two elite basketball players. Still, the Kevin Durant signing promises to add a whole new wrinkle to the equation as the Cavs and Warriors, now more than ever, seem destined to meet in the Finals next spring for the third year in a row.
