Dwyane Wade Complained That Boston’s Visiting Showers Had No Hot Water

The Bulls lost to their third straight game to the Celtics in Game 5 of their first round series on Wednesday night to fall behind 3-2, and adding insult to the annoyance of giving up their 2-0 lead was the fact that after the game they couldn’t even take a decent shower. Veteran Dwyane Wade reported to the team that there wasn’t any hot water in their showers after the game, meaning that they would have to take cold showers and/or wait until they got back to their hotel to get a hot shower.

This could be just a strange coincidence in the TD Garden, but according to Brandon Jennings, the hot water going out in the visiting locker room is just something that happens there.

There are plenty of examples of visiting locker rooms being designed to be uncomfortable or unsettling, with far worse amenities than the home locker room. However, you’d think hot water would at least be provided, even if the lockers are small, chairs are uncomfortable, and lighting is a bit dingy. For a team full of veterans like the Bulls, with Wade, Jimmy Butler, Robin Lopez, among others, it’s extra rough to come into the locker room after a game and not be able to get that hot shower and steam to loosen things up.
