Dwyane Wade Channels 2006-Era “Flash” To Fend Off Blazers In The Clutch

Dwyane Wade was in “Flash” mode against the Portland Trailblazers tonight as he scored 15 of his 32 points in the final period, including this off-balance fade-away jumper with 13 seconds remaining to take a 106-104 lead.

The Blazers turned it over on the next possession with a back-court violation, and Wade went on to hit a pair of clutch free-throws after getting fouled on the ensuing inbound play to ice the win for the Heat.

Wade’s former running mate LeBron James, whose Cavs lost to the Heat on Monday, apparently knew exactly what Wade was planning to do before it even happened.

Wade’s teammate Hassan Whiteside, who’s been a revelation for the Heat this season, was in awe of Wade’s heroics when speaking to the media after the game.

“D-Wade is amazing,” Whiteside said. “Y’all can quote me on that. And that’s it.”

According to NBA.com, Wade currently leads the league in fourth quarter points (7.3), and this isn’t the first time this week Wade’s turned back the clock to make a jaw-dropping play.
